Can practicing forex technical trading improve ur ability to trading over equities?

I am in college and I have a micro account and I am a little nervous about Wall Street can these trades help me with real life job trades.
I dont care about the site you would like to advertise, I need real info. Trust me I has also been one of the top publisher for adsense so dont try that on me.

yes, trading on a simulator will help. it is not the same as live trading and you will probably do better on the simulator than on live data. mostly trading is the same whether it is forex, equities, bonds or commodities. there are some differences however, so you need to understand your individual market as well as you can.
you need to study markets and develop a strategy before you start on the simulator.

Personally I think the two markets are totally different. If you try to apply the same setups you would use to trade the S&P for example, you’ll get burned on the Euro. Currencies are much choppier intraday, so you’ve got to use wide stops. It’s a bit better correlated if you go out longer term say on daily or weekly currency chart. There technical setups might have some merit. Just my two cents.
